Mitsubishi Air Conditioner Breakdown in Newcastle
The Newcastle Commercial Repair Project: The client called and said their split system air conditioner would operate normally when turned on but after a short burst of air the outdoor unit would shut down completely. Inside the office were 6 split systems running through the outdoor unit. The outdoor unit was hung 3 metres from a bracket on the outside wall. You could visibly see the brackets and the base where the a/c unit was sitting had signs of rust.

The Solution
The technician visited the business premises and upon inspection of the air conditioner it was determined that the main outdoor inverter PCB was the cause of the problems and would need to be replaced. Also, the brackets that the aircon was sitting on were rusting and would also need repairs.
After we removed the aircon we fitted a new inverter PCB. We removed the brackets and cleaned away all the rust and then powder coated them. We then put the brackets back and sat the aircon into its position and reconnected all the wiring and piping. We employ certified electricians who perform electrical tasks on projects that require an electrician by law.
Air conditioner Testing
After the repaired air conditioner was set back in its place we ran a series of tests to confirm the aircon would be working at its optimum again. All the electrical and piping work was tested and the results were positive. Finally, we pressure tested the unit and this was also a positive result.
Finally, we switched the air conditioner back on. Then showed the owner how to correctly operate the unit via the remote control.
Servicing the air conditioner
Whilst we were on the job we cleaned the air conditioner and its filters. We checked all the louvres and swing arms to make sure they operated correctly.
