This was a weatherboard house that had 3 bedrooms, a large living room and a separate kitchen and dining area and one bathroom. Entry to the rooms was via the hallway leading from the front door. The roof was pitched and had ample space to run all the ducts.

The Solution
Ducted air conditioners can cool and heat any or all rooms in a property. The vents can be directly inserted in the ceiling or walls depending on the construction. For this project, we chose to install the vents into the ceiling. There would be a ducted system in all the main rooms of the home. This included the main hallway and bathroom.
Since the Panasonic 14kW ducted air conditioning system would be sufficient to heat and cool every room, we decided to go with it. There is an outside unit and a hidden inside unit in this arrangement. Through ceiling vents, the airflow is transported via ducting pipes.
Quiet and effective are ducted air conditioning systems. They increase the value of your house since buyers are drawn to these kinds of systems.
Controlling the ducted system air conditioner
Smart air conditioning controllers that are compatible with leading air conditioning manufacturers are made by Airtouch. The Airtouch 5 series with a single remote controller was our choice. The Airtouch 5 features a digital display that is installed on the wall that allows the user to adjust the airflow temperature in each area. Additionally, you may operate the system via a smartphone app.
This is the beauty of the Airtouch 5 digital display unit that is attached to your wall. You can see all the rooms that have ducts and control the temperature for each room individually or you can turn off the rooms that your don’t want to heat or cool.
